Episode 106 - "Doing What's Best for your Kids" Feat. Greg Simmonds

Image
Today i'm joined by professional soccer player,  trainer and incredible soccer dad, Greg Simmonds.  After briefly discussing his own path; immigrating to the United States from Jamaica, playing professionally and deciding to become a coach, Greg explains how his experiences dealing with parents as a coach aided in his perspective as a soccer parent himself.  With his first-born daughter debuting in this year's World Cup and his oldest son recently signing his first professional contract, I'd say his outlook on parenting young ballers is pretty incredible, to say the least.  TAP IN!

Episode 105 - "Play The Right Way" Feat. Israel Sesay

Today's episode features Israel Sesay, professional soccer player for the MASL's Empire Strikers and Director of Coaching for Fury Futbol Club in the Inland Empire.  Izzy's story is one you'd imagine to be concocted by Hollywood scriptwriters.  After fleeing his birthplace of Sierra Leone during its infamous civil war, Izzy immigrated to the United States where his raw talent on the soccer field translated to his first pro contract in the MLS at the tender age of 16.  Experiences along his professional journey inspired him to coach youth soccer with an emphasis on development in order to clarify pathways for future soccer stars.  This is an interesting story, TAP IN!
